Melt Already!!

I managed to survive all of last semester without a calculator, and I made an A in math. I'm pretty proud of that fun fact.

Here's another fun piece of knowledge... I have managed to survive this blizzard/ice storm without gloves. Yes, my paws have been frozen to little pieces, but I've seemed to manage ok... until today. It has become more and more urgent that I get to the bookstore ASAP to get my books for the semester. Seeing as how these roads have been just terrible lately, a trip downtown has been out of the question. Today however, with classes finally starting back and roads seemingly clear, I decided I would travel only a few blocks away to the bookstore. After ice skating to my car, I found that my car was coated in snow and ice... perfect!! Don't worry, I had a ice scraper thingy in my trunk... but wait. My trunk was frozen shut. Lovely!! I tried for about a second to scrape my windshield off by hand, but that was a terrible idea! I was about to give up when I spotted in my back seat the bag my healthy PC exam care package came in from the fam. It's one of those drawstring book bag things. And I thought I'd never use it!! I threw that over my fist and went to town on my windshield. Never mind the fact that my hand was completely numb due to not having gloves, or that as ice chards fell from my car, several managed to hit me in the feet (which wouldn't be a big deal at all if I weren't wearing knit uggs today). I got my car in driving condition and that's all that matters! I was pretty proud of my weather savvy self! And by the time I actually got to the bookstore, I had regained almost all feeling in my hand! While gloves would have helped immensely in this situation, I'm pretty proud of myself for making it through this crazy weather without them... just like I'm proud of myself for making it through math without a calculator.

Hope everyone isn't going completely crazy being snowed in! I never thought I'd say this, but THANK GOODNESS classes have started back again! I've been in one weird mood these past few days!
Enjoy the snow that's left!
Peace and Love.

That's right. I am quitting college. PC is blowing my mind. The reasons are several fold:

We have been informed the past 2 mornings at 7:30 am that classes have been cancelled. Not the night before, when it is so incredibly obvious that conditions are awful and there is no chance in the world that roads will magically get better overnight.

Today on the menu in GDH was the following: mashed potatoes, broccoli, and bananas. We are running out of food fast!

Now that we have missed school for 2 days, PC has decided to go public school system on us and make us have a make-up day on Monday, aka Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Yes. Riots are about to break out here on PC's campus. People are angry.

So to all of this I say, it's been fun PC. You have successfully found ways to make even snow days incredibly unpleasant. I now will move to Charleston and make a living working at J. Crew, getting a sweet discount, and never having to deal with snow or ice ever again.

Bridalplasty and Snow!

Today starts day 2 of being snowed in here at Presbyterian College. It was pretty fun yesterday. We walked around outside, went to Anna's townhouse, but then it turned to ice and that just hurts to play in! Today school was cancelled again since outside right now consists of one giant sheet if ice! I mean, I'm not complaining about not having class!! But I'd like to be able to go places... For example:
Today is the grand opening of Japan, the new Chinese/Japanese restaurant in Clinton! I have been excited about this for a long time now, and I'd really like to be able to celebrate with Japan on their grand opening today! But since my car is covered in snow and ice, I don't think that's going to happen. Bummer.

On another note... yesterday when we were at Anna's townhouse, I was appalled at a show that came on E! Bridalplasty. Crazies from all over come together to live at this house to compete weekly to win plastic surgery off their wish list. So these fooligans are doing ridiculous stunts all bandaged up and just looking horrible trying to win more and more surgeries in order to be as pretty as possible on their wedding days. It is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen!! Here's a preview of one of the wish-lists I found online:
  • shorten second toe
  • remove scar on nose
  • redo veneers
  • inner knee liposuction
  • I would personally like to draw attention to that shortening of the second toe. Ridiculous. And what in the world in inner knee liposuction?!

All I have to say is people are crazy and I'm craving some Japan. Happy Snow Day... Round 2!
    Peace and Love.
